GCHS Commencement Program
“ G rant, O my G od, that all who dwell in this house may love thee much, may love one another, and may never forget why they came here.” - ST. THEODORE G UERIN
Dear Friends and Family of the Class of 2026,
Welcome to the twentieth commencement exercises of St. Theodore G uerin High School. Tonight, we gather with you to celebrate the Class of 2026, their growth, their gifts, and the many ways they have shaped this community. We give thanks for the moments, relationships, and experiences that have brought them to this day, and for the joy of celebrating this milestone together. G ratitude is at the heart of this evening. We give thanks for you, the families and friends whose love, encouragement, and sacrifice have made this moment possible. Thank you for trusting us with your children during these critically important and formative years. It has been an honor to partner with you in forming the lives of these young men and women. As the Class of 2026 leaves The Nest today, may the prayer of our patroness, St. Theodore G uerin, reign true in their hearts: G rant, O my G od, that all who dwell in this house may love thee much, may love one another, and may never forget why they came here.
Dear Parents of Current Juniors, Last March, your child was scheduled to participate in the ISTEP+ testing required of students within the Class of 2022 for graduation. This testing was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and has been rescheduled for all current juniors throughout the State of Indiana this February. As a state-accredited school, we will be participating in testing this February and ask that our current junior families take note of the testing dates, times and details below. The ISTEP+ assessment is given in two subject areas--Mathematics and English/Language Arts. For our current juniors, the ISTEP+ Mathematics and English/Language Arts assessments serve as graduation requirements, that is, students must achieve a passing score in both content areas in order to earn an Indiana high school diploma. Further information related to this assessment can be found on this Indiana Department of Education website . Please take note of the testing dates below. All current juniors should plan to be present both testing days regardless of whether they are currently in our Purple or Gold group. It is very important students attend school during these testing times given the short window of time we have to administer these assessments this year. Testing Schedule
G od bless the Class of 2026!
