THE CAMPAIGN for GUERIN CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL

Each day, Guerin Catholic students are inspired to achieve more than what they think is possible. They are challenged to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners guided by their faith. Our students are growing academically, personally, and spiritually each day. It is a united spirit that has moved Guerin Catholic forward for nearly two decades, and it is that spirit that propels us forward into the future. The new Fine Arts and Wellness Center—the final installment to the original design of our campus—will provide all Guerin Catholic students with the resources and opportunities to help them thrive, discover their gifts, and grow in their faith. Your investment in the future of Guerin Catholic is needed as we seek to elevate our founding vision to move Guerin Catholic into a new era. The time is now for us to come together to grow and build this much-needed addition that will allow us to better serve our students and community.

CAMPAIGN GOAL $26M

THE FINE ARTS & WELLNESS CENTER Guerin Catholic High School was founded with a vision to bring

together Catholic faith, academic excellence, and a commitment to serving others. The Fine Arts and Wellness Center will position Guerin Catholic as a community hub and gathering place for our parishes and partner schools. It will allow for athletic practices and tournaments, theatre productions, choir concerts and will ultimately support the growth of our enrollment and the sustainability of our school. The Fine Arts and Wellness Center will provide all Guerin Catholic students with the resources and opportunities desperately needed. This collaborative and flexible space will be an environment where students can explore new opportunities to personally and collectively grow academically and spiritually.

Please join us by supporting the effort to make this dream a reality for our Guerin Catholic students and community.

St. Theodore Guerin, Pray for us!

“The purpose of Fine Arts at Guerin Catholic is not to shine a light on the artist, musician, or performer, but to help these young artists understand that they are called to use their gifts to serve others by drawing them closer to Christ. Performing on stage in front of an audience of 500, with state of the art lighting and theater acoustics, will provide our young people with greater inspiration to recognize beauty, truth and goodness and understand that these attributes help lead them and the audience to God. In the words of Saint John Paul the Great, ‘Beauty will save the world.’” MARCIA MURPHY DIRECTOR OF FINE ARTS

STRONGER TOGETHER

UNITE As a community, we’ve grown beyond what we believed was possible. Since our doors opened in 2004, we have boldly evolved while remaining true to providing an authentic Catholic education supported by enriching student-life and service opportunities. WHY NOW? l Simply put, we need the space. Anyone that has attended a theatre performance at Guerin Catholic knows those performances take place on a stage in our cafeteria (aka the “cafetorium”). While the student productions have been outstanding, the space is not ideal. Or perhaps you have dropped off your freshman basketball player for a 6 a.m. practice, because early morning is the only time gym space is available. Finally, as enrollment continues to climb, classroom space is at a premium. This building project addresses all of these space concerns. l We are in a competitive market. As a diocesan school acting as good stewards of our finances, we do not seek to have “the biggest and the best” facility with all the bells and whistles. However, when potential students tour our building and compare it to other

“We strongly believe in the role athletics plays in the holistic development of a young person's life. We are proud that we have phenomenal student athletes, transformative coaches, and a supportive addition of a Fine Arts and Wellness Center, we have an opportunity to soar higher by providing spaces and resources necessary to help our Golden Eagles pursue their passions. It will be through the time spent in this new building that our student athletes will practice, workout, and train in order to maximize their God-given abilities.” RYAN DAVIS DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS community for our programs. With the

schools—especially with schools like Carmel, Noblesville, and Fishers in our own backyard— we need to be a part of the conversation; we need to be competitive.

l We would like to be the diocesan community hub for our area partner parishes and schools. We want to be able to open our doors to their scheduled activities as well. Why couldn’t the area Catholic grade schools use Guerin Catholic’s auditorium for their performances? Why couldn’t multi-school CYO athletic tournaments be held in our fieldhouse? It is part of our mission to be a resource to the entire Catholic community.

BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE

BUILD

At Guerin Catholic High School, we strive to provide a home for all students to discover all God has called them to be and discern their life path. To continue to fulfill our mission, we must evolve to provide the facilities that enable our programs to thrive and be accessible to all. l The New Fine Arts and Wellness Center will feature: q 500-seat Auditorium q Fine Arts Lobby with an area for IB Art and event space(s) q Fieldhouse with two (2) new playing courts (one wood and the other soft playing surface) and walking track q Expanded and re-designed locker rooms for outdoor sports and an exterior access q Athletics areas include a new expanded weight room and kinesiology classroom l This project will transform the east and southeast areas (near the grotto and football tailgate spaces) of the current school l Enrollment at GC is expected to remain at its current capacity of approximately 800 students l Flex spaces used as classrooms by day and event and program space after school

THE SKY'S THE LIMIT

SOAR

In 2004, our founding leaders envisioned a future for Guerin Catholic High School. They imagined an institution serving the children of our community through an authentic Catholic education, numerous student life opportunities and unmatched service-learning experiences. We have grown in that time by Trusting in Providence, and in our commitment to faith, always seeking more and serving others each day. And, we are not done. The time is now for us to build upon the foundation laid in place nearly two decades ago and to unite to build a future for Golden Eagles that knows no limits and is grounded in our vision and mission. It is our shoulders that future Golden Eagles will stand upon. Our graduates are called to know and live their faith daily and take it out into the world. They are leading with humility, serving with love and trusting in Providence. With Saint Theodore Guerin as our guide, we will continue to fulfill our promise—to inspire our students to thrive, discover their gifts and grow in their faith—to soar.
